About

Hi, my name is Sarah.

Sarah Pope

In 2020 I achieved my Associate of Arts from the College of Lake County, where I was lucky enough to work as a Reporter, Editor, and Layout Designer for the College of Lake County Chronicle for a short stint before the world moved online with the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

While simultaneously completing my Bachelor’s, I gained a plethora of experience in the world of SEO and content ghostwriting during my time with WordAgents. I was immersed in the world of remote work, learning how to work within a large and coordinated team of writers and editors whose ultimate goal was client satisfaction. I wrote and edited a minimum of 1,000 words per day.

As the world began to open back up, I spent a year working in the Logistics field, a far reach from writing and editing but an experience that taught me many valuable skills including timeliness, communication, collaboration, and creativity.

Upon leaving Belle Aire Creations, I was able to mesh back into the writing industry by becoming a Peer Tutor at my college, the University of Illinois at Springfield. Here, I was able to provide individualized writing and analysis support to students with assignments such as essays, presentations, and thesis statements. I was also an ENG 101 Teaching Assistant.

In 2023 I officially finished my Bachelor’s in English and have been a freelancer on the hunt for a more stable career ever since! I am located outside of Chicago and in my free time I enjoy crocheting, playing video games, and also have a passion for cats.
